My name is Anna Gawrys and I live in Pruszków, in central Poland.
I am a freelance artist specializing in various forms of graphic design, including:

  • humorous books illustrations:
100 Ways for a Horse to Train Its Human (Hodder and Stoughton, 2005),
100 Ways to Live with a Horse Addict (Hodder and Stoughton, 2006)
  • children's book illustration
Esyfloresy/ Loose curlicues (Viva Litera, 2008)
 
  • magazine illustration
I've drawn for Outdoors in NYC
  • designing logos, banners and decorative elements for websites

  • humorous cartoons
-since 2005 I 've been cooperating with a large Internet agency Cartoon Stock
  • pattern designs for fabrics, T-shirts, mugs and other objects
  • greeting cards designs
I enjoy working in a variety of techniques, including pen and ink, watercolour and tempera.
I love experimenting and often create new collage techniques, playing with dried flowers and leaves,
fabrics, hand-made paper and my scanner.
I often further work on my images in Photoshop Elements.

I'm also very keen on watercolour painting directly from nature, and photography
I also teach English to children and adults and deal with Polish-English translation.
